Define the Future of Education

Helping to reinvent the classroom experience, I was part of a wonderful team at POSSIBLE LA to redesign a new tablet-based teaching tool for both Kindergarten-Grade1 and Grade 2-12 in U.S.A. As an art director for K-1 app, I was responsible for the overall interface design and I supervised a team of illustrators and designers. I made sure that each of the components we designed was an engaging and self-contained story for the kids.

Pearson was a finalist for the 2015 IxDA – Interaction Design Association Awards in the "Disrupting" category

To make the app more fun for K-1 students, a colorful palette based on shapes, animal and object icons are used to help them remember their classes.
We designed a visual login system for the students: they have to pick a combination of a color, captain and fruit as password.

K-1 Book Builder Screen Design – Students are able to create their own story book.

K-1 ELA and Math Unit Screen Design - Each unit will welcome students with a theme with different illustration and design.

Grade 2-12 Screen Design with a more adult look and feel.

Below are some navigation and system icons that I have designed for both K-1 and 2-12 apps.
